Overview

Region Tournament Pro ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Region Fishing. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

By using Region Tournament Pro, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and optional profile details such as address, date of birth, gender, and shirt size.

Tournament Data: We collect catch submissions including species, measurements, photos, timestamps, and GPS coordinates (when enabled by the tournament director).

Device Information: We collect your device's push notification token to send tournament alerts. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the app to improve our service.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Region Tournament Pro service
• To manage tournament participation and display leaderboards
• To send push notifications about catches, horn alerts, and tournament updates (based on your preferences)
• To send tournament invitation emails on behalf of tournament directors
• To improve and develop new features for the app
• To communicate with you about your account or the service

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Tournament Directors: Tournament directors can view participant names, scores, catch details, and GPS coordinates submitted within their tournaments.

Other Participants: Your name and scores are visible to other tournament participants on leaderboards (unless results are hidden by the tournament director).

Service Providers: We use the following trusted service providers:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting
• Expo — push notification delivery
• Resend — transactional email delivery

Photos and GPS

Catch photos are stored securely and are visible to tournament participants and directors. GPS coordinates are only collected when explicitly enabled by the tournament director and are only visible to tournament directors and tournament administrators.

You can decline camera and location permissions; however, some tournament features may require them.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Tournament catch data is retained to maintain the integrity of tournament records.

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). Upon deletion:

• Your personal information is permanently removed
• Your personal best records are deleted
• Your tournament catches are anonymized and attributed to "Deleted User"
• Tournaments you directed are locked to preserve their records

Push Notifications

We send push notifications for catch submissions, Lines In/Out horn alerts, and tournament messages. You can manage notification preferences within the app (Settings → Notifications) or through your device's notification settings.

Children's Privacy

Region Tournament Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
